DOGS RUNNING LOOSE OFF OWNER PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF RYE
To the Residents of the Town of Rye:
Recently there have been several reports of dogs running loose off owner property and/or becoming aggressive with residents and other animals in the Town. The Town of Rye has a Leash Law Ordinance, a copy of which has been provided below. All reports of dogs at large to the Town Clerk will be taken seriously and the owners/property owners of said dogs will be notified of noncompliance and penalties assessed.
We encourage anyone that is threatened and/or attacked by a dog running loose off owner property to immediately contact Pueblo County Animal Control 719-544-3005 and call the Town Clerk at 719-489-2011 to report the incident. If you are able, take pictures of the dog to assist Animal Control Officers in retrieving it.
DOG OWNERS: Please be aware that you are responsible for all penalties should your dog be off leash off owner property, running loose without your supervision, and/or threatens or attacks anyone. Please be courteous to residents and visitors. It is unacceptable for dogs to intimidate or attack people/animals in the Town!
Sincerely,
