2025 Annual Tree Lighting & Mountain Christmas Magic

Matnock Manhole Replacement Wednesday, October 22nd from 7am-5pm

-The manhole on Matnock will be replaced on Wednesday, October 22nd from 7am-5pm. To avoid disconnecting water from the entire Town we are requesting that all residents on Columbine and Matnock do not use any water or flush the toilets during this time. Please call the Town Clerk with any questions or concerns at 719-489-2011. Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Winter weather will soon be upon us! We encourage everyone to be prepared. Here are some tips to help prevent your pipes from freezing: 

Billing Due Dates Have Changed

The Board of Trustees approved moving the monthly due date for all account holders at the October 8, 2025, regular monthly meeting. As of October 31, 2025, you will notice a comment on your billing statement in red stating, “PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MONTHLY DUE DATE HAS CHANGED TO COMPLY WITH C.R.S. 29-1-1102”. Please be sure to reference the due date at the top right-hand corner of your billing statement each month, late fees will be assessed to those who make a payment after that date.

Resolution 2025-6 Water & Sewer Rate Increase Approved

At the October 8, 2025, regular monthly meeting the Board of Trustees unanimously approved Resolution 2025-6 Water & Sewer Rate Increase effective January 1, 2026-December 31, 2031. Pueblo County Satellite Office Lunch & Learn

Join Pueblo County for their first Lunch and Learn on October 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at 4705 Santa Fe Dr. Colorado City, Co 81019. Come hear about the programs Pueblo County Department of Human Services has to offer, how and what you will need to apply and take the opportunity to ask questions one-on-one for resources you may need. Pueblo County Satellite Services Office to Open in Colorado City

Pueblo County, Colorado City Metro District, and The Town of Rye have entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement for a Satellite Services Office to provide over 40 programs and services to residents in the Greenhorn Valley. The new Satellite Services Office will be located at the Susan Kalman Peaks to Prairie Community Center at 4705 Santa Fe Dr. Colorado City, CO 81019 and services will include SNAP, Medicaid, Leap, DMV Registration, etc. A Ribbon Cutting & Kick-Off Event for the Satellite Office will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 12:00p.m. with fun events to follow.

WORK SESSION 2026-2031 WATER & SEWER RATE INCREASE

There will be a Board of Trustees Work Session on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall 2067 Main, Rye, Colorado 81069. This meeting will be open to the public and the Board encourages the residents of the Town of Rye to attend. The purpose of this Work Session will be to discuss the Water and Sewer Rate Increases effective 2026-2031.
