The Town of Rye is working to comply with CDPHE's new regulation that requires municipalities that provide water utility services to inventory and create an action plan for all resident's water service lines. The deadline for this regulation is October 2024. The Town of Rye was awarded a grant through CDPHE to have WSP complete all regulation requirements for the Town.
The Board of Trustees for the Town of Rye are accepting applications for the Water Treatment Plant Operator Assistant position. This is a part-time position working 20 hours or less per month. 2024 Town of Rye Approved Water and Sewer Rate
On September 13, 2023 at the Regular Monthly Board Meeting the Board of Trustees for the Town of Rye passed and adopted Ordinance 2023-6 Sidewalk Responsibility upon the second reading of the Ordinance. Ordinance 2023-6 will be mailed out to all residents in the Town for awareness of construction and maintenance responsibilities. For a copy of Ordinance 2023-6 please contact the Town Clerk.
The Board of Trustees approved a Water Conservation Tier Rate on June 14, 2023 in an effort to conserve treated water for all water meter sizes and discourage excessive water usage in the Town of Rye. The new water tier rate is as follows:
A Resolution placing a Water Tap Moratorium for the Town of Rye for all new water tap applications was approved by the Board of Trustees on June 14, 2023. The review of the water tap moratorium will be placed on the June 2024 monthly meeting agenda for revision, repeal and/or extension. The Board of Trustees for the Town of Rye will be hosting the second annual Town Square Fair on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.! We will be shutting down Main Street to welcome you and your family to come and enjoy live music, bounce houses, food and SO MUCH MORE! We are currently looking for local businesses, vendors, artists, merchants, musicians, ranchers, restaurants, etc. to come set up a booth and help provide a safe, welcoming, and family focused back to school event!
